The Truth About Abs is not for the feint of heart. Do not buy this guide if you're not prepared to change your old ways and actually sit down first and learn the, well, truth.
The fact is, this guide is a beast and contains so much content that you could spend days reading it before even getting started. But the truth is that even from the very first chapter where Mike explains the importance of mindset, you just know that not only are you about to learn some fundamental lessons that will allow you to finally start shifting excess fat and toning up, but you're also going to learn things that will stay with you for life.
In other words, this isn't just some quick fix book on "working out". This is a total U-Turn on what you thought you knew about eating right (not dieting or eating less), along with one of the most comprehensive plans to working out the right way, not the hard way.
I've been working through some of the routines and following Mike's advice on nutrition as much as I can for a few weeks now.
I have to admit that it's hard to change your ways in a snap, which probably suggests why Mike really drives home the importance of your mindset right from day one, before you even get started.
My weight is dropping slowly, but more to the point I actually feel more energized and confident. I can't possibly see how you would fail to get a six pack abs (or at the very least a lean body) whilst using this system.
I admit that I probably won't apply everything Mike teaches, because I simply don't like going down the gym all the time, but to be honest that leaves about 90% of the course which I can still do from the comfort of my living room.
You might need to invest in a couple of cheapish pieces of equipment if you do decide to do everything at home, such as a pull up bar, a medicine ball and possibly some floor grips.
You certainly don't need a full home gym to make this work for you, just pick out the stuff that doesn't require gym equipment and you'll be fine.
The main benefit I found was the nutrition and general eating advice. I was totally shocked at how mislead the general public are, and once you've digested what Mike explains, you could probably lose a lot of weight just from following this advice alone...without exercising!
